Yet another SUV from the world’s No. 1 Japan auto maker Toyota is the FJ Cruiser. Debuted in 2003 as a concept car the FJ Cruiser has seen production due to the excessive positive response from the Toyota’s customers. The FJ Cruiser houses a 4.0 L V6 engine assisted by a 5 – speed or 6 – speed transmission which depends upon the variant. With this FJ Cruiser Toyota has thus released 6 SUV’s for on-road as well as for off-road. The 2010 model is expected to be with improved fuel efficiency employing the state to art technology. Short wheel base, intelligently placed headlights and doors makes the FJ Cruiser distinct SUV in the market. The vehicle has an extensive support from the youth rather than the old. The notable thing is that this FJ Cruiser brings to mind the old Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser which had a good appeal to the public in 1960’s.
