Ford escape is a cross over sedan manufactured by the American automaker Ford and was released in the year 2000. This is a cross over SUV and was sold at a price lesser than explorer. This has captured the market all over the world and was extensively sold. 2010 model has been released and it has extensive features compared to the previous models. This 2010 model has a better fuel economy. The engine was designed based in Atkinson cycle and so it has got an extensive fuel economy. The traditional 4 speed transmission was advanced to 6 speed transmission. Ford released the first Hybrid SUV in this model. The Hybrid version was released in the year 2004 and it has better efficiency than the internal combustion engine. Initially there was a complaint among the customers that the brake doesn’t produce consistent feel since the initial energy was regenerated and the later part was only applied to the brake. So the brakes have been revised to vacuum brake model. The car has undergone a slight aerodynamic change after its release. The front and the rear spoilers have also been revised. All these have pushed up the sales to 49 percent. 2011 model is expected to be released by the midst of 2010
