BMW X5 is the first SUV of the most famous German auto maker BMW. In Bimmers world, rather than SUV, this car is called as Sports Activity Vehicle because of its excellent on-road performance. This is a crossover SUV which has a sedan like body rather than a SUV body. Bimmers say that these cars are ‘activity’ based rather than ‘utility’ based. All variants houses V8 engine delivering a massive power to drive this massive vehicle. This has got a four wheel drive and all features as in Mercedes M class and like other SUV’s as well. Following this car a number of SAV series is released in the following years all of which has slight improvement over the predecessor and with some additional features. All these followers had an X in the Brand model name. The X6 variant of this family is called as Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) rather than Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
