(Save the date cards, bachelorette party invitations, rehearsal dinner invitations)

Save the date cards are as important and the party invitation. These are the just like an announcement of the ceremony that is going to happen in future, so that the guest come to know about this well in time, keep their dates free and plan accordingly. There are different views about when this should be sent few say it should be around six to seven months before while other says it must be four to five months before the actual party dates. These are generally used for wedding ceremonies, however it is not restricted to it, and you should send the date cards for other occasions also, like for bachelorette party invitations and even for the rehearsal dinner invitations.

Create your date card with full of your imaginations as these need not to be a formal invitation. They can take any material, shape and size. They need not to be made up of paper cards, and can be brochure style, magnets, postcard size, booklet style or just anything about you can think of. Try to give a personal touch to the date cards as with such touch guest feels obliged and will come to the party with enthusiasm and enjoy this well.

If someone wants to keep their guest list limited then they should start with the close relatives and friends, but never forget that everyone who has been sent the date card should receive the actual invitation also. The date cards are not supposed to be actual invitation, instead they are just information about the dates, and however, they may contain the venue and timings.
