They provide good privacy during travel.
These limousines are generally owned by large companies to transport their executives or owned by governments to transport the politicians. There are less individuals in the world who own limousines. These limousines are available for rent also in many parts of USA. These are generally rented for ceremonies like wedding or parties.
Apart from luxury features that the manufacturers are careful about, they did not let loose the safety features. The limousines are provided well with security features too. They will have good armor, bullet proof glass, satellite phone facilities etc.
Either the car manufacturer will themselves manufacture the chassis or there are third party companies called coach builders who will stretch the car and will embed it with the features that we ask them. Limousines are fitted with more powerful engine and they are provided with as many wheels to support the weight. As they are too long they are not suited for mountain roads and curved roads. They are best suited for straight roads and on the Red Carpets.

Actros is a heavy duty truck produced by the German automaker Mercedes Benz and that’s why this truck is called Benz Actros. This is for heavy duty operation where in heavy goods need to be moved to a large distance. Mercedes boasts of its “Telligent Gearbox”. It has the mechanical gearbox coupled to a computer which assists the driver during the gear shift. This technology is a great advantage for novice drivers who are not sure about their gear shift. The computer detects the load connected and the road terrain and tells the driver which gear is apt for a particular downshift or up shift. This has an added advantage as this isolates the gear box from the driver’s direct level control and thus preventing the wear and tear of the gear tooth. Further the interior is large making a large room for the driver to feel comfortable with. This has got a V8 or V6 engine with turbochargers and intercoolers. Like a car the driver’s room is filled with radio, CD players and sound systems to entertain him for such a fairly long travel.
